If you had a choice, which nationality would you choose? Why do we have a nationality? What is the nation-state? Can I no longer
identify as an Argentinian, Swiss, Senegalese, Chinese, or Australian? Should I resign myself to the capricious and haphazard arbitration of destiny that determined my birth and thus imposed on my identity cultural, social, and artificially constructed elements, such as nationality? Is there a universal right to simply be a global citizen?
All these questions must be asked to unveil who we truly are, since our interests, desires, personalities, expectations, and possibilities are deeply influenced by the geography, history, and society in which we were born. A global passport is necessary to be a global citizen, a passport that recognizes us all as children of the same earth and with the same right to inhabit, enjoy, and delight in it, regardless of where we were born.
We all have the right to our GLOBAL PASSPORT, we are all citizens of the world!
