ART CONCEPT

BE FREE, BE TRUE, BE YOU
PHILOSOPHY, SOCIETY AND INTERCULTURALITY

The artistic, literary and academic creations of my professional work seek to understand, explore and express wonder at the various spheres of human existence and its relationship with nature and the universe. Color, words and shapes merge to invite the viewer to investigate the themes that run through the life of the planet’s societies.

ART MANIFESTING IDEAS, CONCEPT AND MAKING VISIBLE DEEP REALITIES: MIGRATIONS, CLIMATE CHANGE, ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE, BIODIVERSITY, PEACE AND INTERCULTURALITY.

Cris’s Beyond Time is an interdisciplinary exhibition that will be presented in  June and July 2025 in China: Beijing, Shanghai and Xi’an. It consists of three interconnected layers: Paintings, Poetry, and Audiovisual Virtual Reality.

The exhibition opening will take place at Liangbaolou Gallery, Xi’an Museum, China, with the collaborative participation of local and international artists and scholars. Cris’s artworks evoke profound reflections on the essence of time, existence, life, and death through large-format abstract acrylic paintings on canvas. These paintings, in turn, give rise to a virtual reality experience with digital animations and original music.

The accompanying book for this project is being published by Calambur Publishing House in Barcelona, Spain. Beyond Time is a poetic journey through time, memory, and existence. With 38 poems in Spanish and English, plus a selection in Chinese, the book explores the fleeting and the eternal, love, life, death, and the essence of being. From tributes to great thinkers to profound introspection, the author invites readers into a dialogue with the past, present, and future, challenging the linearity of time in each verse.

Beyond Time is an artistic exploration that transcends the linearity of time, inviting the viewer to immerse themselves in an experience where past, present, and future converge in a single moment. Through color, abstraction, and visual fragmentation, each work becomes a reflection of our perception of time—fleeting, eternal, mutable. This exhibition is not only meant to be observed but felt, challenging the traditional notion of time and opening a space for introspection and wonder.

In April 2024, New York City witnessed a groundbreaking artistic experience. The HUMAN PLANET exhibition offered a deep immersion into the cultural, social, and emotional dimensions of humanity. Today, that experience is immortalized in an exclusive limited-edition book: HUMAN PLANET NEW YORK 2024 by Cris, produced for Cris International Swiss Art Company in Switzerland. From Rockefeller Center in New York, the official launch of Cris’s new exhibition book (Limited Edition of 100 copies) will take place online and globally on April 30, 2025, one year after the Human Planet Exhibitions in Manhattan.

This book is a work of art in itself. It is a bridge between the artwork, the viewer, and the city that hosted it. It is an experience that transcends time and space—reviving, page by page, the sensations, colors, words, and emotions that resonated throughout the halls of the Consulate of Argentina and the Saphira & Ventura Gallery.

This limited edition (only 100 copies!) is a work of art in itself:

* It brings together paintings, curatorial texts, poems, philosophical reflections, and photographs from the events – including never-before-seen moments from my days in New York.

* It’s an artistic journey through human rights, environmental consciousness, and intercultural dialogue.

* A creation designed for collectors, contemporary art enthusiasts, and all those who believe in art as a transformative experience.

My productions as a contemporary artist integrate virtual reality and the metaverse. Recent exhibitions have merged three interdisciplinary layers: painting, literature and audiovisual projection, linking the study of music, architecture, poetry, virtual reality, dance, animations and painting, centered and articulated around the theme of human rights, the environment and interculturality.

The paintings, both in the real world and in virtual reality, in the latest exhibitions are in acrylic on canvas and combine abstract and conceptual art styles.

All my current and future works develop in the real physical world through traditional fine art materials: acrylic paints, oils and inks on stretchers; and in parallel, I create the works in the metaverse with the use of new technologies, artificial intelligence and augmented reality, producing the original NFTs and animations of each work which are incorporated into my Virtual Reality Gallery.

UNITY

On the basis of time and space the life of the universe develops. A smooth natural movement slides the grains of the hourglass of history between the extremes of existence in a constant search for balance. Past and future, right and left hemisphere, North-South and East-West. The chain of life, fragile and infinite, seeks its next link. A code, a guide and a ladder of actions that lead to human, natural and artificial integration that restore the lost balance. Nature and technology, virtual and real world, artificial intelligence and human, society and planet earth.

The children of tomorrow look at the present with hope, from a future that still appears diffuse and incomplete, their dreams extend their arms towards the present. Science and religion. Brain and heart. Reason and intuition. Between wars, poverty, inequality, crises, migration, extinction, climate change and natural disasters, human beings write the present between brilliant inventions and new technologies, based on the mistakes and successes of the past. Since time immemorial, all cultures and civilizations have written codes to live in community, harmony and unity with the planet. The SDGs seem to reflect the voice of today, the warning of the future. A voice that speaks to us in silence and resonates with each passing minute. A voice that seems to speak on behalf of nature and future generations.
